FREE online Leadership and Management training for SME employers in the Coast to Capital region

The National Skills Academy for Financial Services is offering free, fully-funded online leadership and management training to SME employers in the Coast to Capital region.

Skills for Growth is a project funded by the European Social Fund, which aims to address skills gaps in the Coast to Capital region by providing intermediate and higher level skills development for the employed.

The training is designed to help develop leadership skills, increase awareness of managerial issues in the workplace, and provide practical tools and techniques that can be used to approach a variety of work related situations and maximise performance as a first line manager.

The training consists of eight units which include completing online workbooks followed by an assignment.  The units include key topics such as leading and motivating a team effectively, managing workplace projects and solving problems and making decisions.  Participants work at their own pace with the course taking a maximum of 6 months.  Employees have full tutor support throughout the course.

On successful completion of the course, participants will receive the internationally recognised Certificate in Leadership and Management at Level 3.  This is certified by the Institute of Leadership and Management, the UK's leading provider of leadership, management and coaching qualifications.

The Skills for Growth project focuses on eight key industry sectors in the region: advanced manufacturing and engineering; creative, digital and IT; environmental technologies; financial and business services; health and life sciences; care; construction; the visitor economy.

If you are an SME in one of these industry sectors and would like to get more information about your employees accessing the training please visit www.nsafs.co.uk or contact the Skills for Growth team via ESFskillssupport@nsafs.co.uk or 0845 618 2353.
