Project aimed at supporting disabled people in to work hailed a success
The project, aimed at helping disabled people into real job vacancies, has gained significant interest from the business community since it went live in July. 25 businesses have got in touch to find out how to get involved and the first success came at the end of August, when
web agency Madison Solutions took on Kieran Stack – initially with a two-week trial.
Matt Chambers, Founder and CEO of Madison Solutions spoke at the event, saying that it was incredibly easy to organise the work trial: “I found recruiting Kieran about one tenth the paperwork of recruiting an apprentice and he started to be productive within his first week. All round a great result!”
Funded by the Department for Work and Pensions, Recruit Ability is working with businesses in Brighton & Hove who are looking for a new member of staff, and help them to recruit talented, qualified people to their team.
