Brighton & Hove City Council has commissioned research into the barriers affecting disabled people, and those with long term health conditions. Can you help find solutions?
Learning and Work have been commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council to undertake research into the barriers experienced by disabled people and individuals with long term health conditions to employment, volunteering and skills development.
As part of this research we are holding an Employer Workshop on 19th August 2016, at the Brighthelm Centre between 9.00-10.30am to discuss our findings and the implications of these for local businesses. We hope that by consulting with local business representatives we can ensure that our recommendations are appropriate and beneficial.
The workshop provides attendees with the chance to find out about other local employers experiences of hiring disabled people and individuals with health conditions and to be involved in shaping the recommendations to address current barriers and make employment opportunities more accessible.
Refreshments and light breakfast will be available throughout the workshop.
