New Economic Partnership executive director appointed.
Gavin Stewart is taking over from Tony Mernagh as the new executive director of the Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership.
Gavin Stewart was employed by the Partnership as its coordinator when it was established by the now defunct regional development agency SEEDA fourteen years ago. After stints as Town Centre Manager in Hove and in Woolwich he returned to work in the city as the Business Improvement District [BID] manager in 2011 [see earlier story
Tony Mernagh is stepping down after 12 years during which time he worked with seven council leaders and six chief executives. The Partnership itself showed rather more stability with just three Chairs and one executive director since 2003.
Gavin Stewart will continue in his role with the BID as well as working part-time for the Economic Partnership. Gavin can be contacted on 01273 735442 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
