Free training for staff in licensed premises
In conjunction with the BIIAB and the SABMiller Scholarship, Brighton and Hove City Council Licensing Authority is offering a training course with exams free of charge.
The course is the BIIAB Level 1 Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing (ARAR).
cashiers in any other shop selling alcohol
Staff in any other licensed premises where alcohol is sold.
Candidates choose the ARAR Award because it enables them to:
Understand the main points of licensing law
Recognise the responsibilities associated with the retail sale
Understand their duties concerning under-age sales and
serving persons who are drunk
Support the designated premises supervisor to retail alcohol
The Courses will be held on the 18th and 25th of November at Brighton Town Hall, Bartholomew Square, Brighton (subject to demand).
