City Plan passes the first hurdle
The amended City Plan [Core Strategy] was agreed by the City Council at yesterday’s Policy & Resources Committee. Now it goes out to consultation.
The Plan, which contains controversial proposals for additional housing on the urban fringe [see earlier story
] was passed by the Green Party and Labour Group members with two Conservative members voting against and one abstaining.
It will now be subject to a consultation period starting on the 4th November and ending on 16th December before being presented to Planning Inspector Laura Graham for final approval [or not, of course] and hopefully adoption early in the new year.
