A one-year pilot project to help local businesses navigate the myriad growth schemes and providers sees Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce join Worthing & Adur and Chichester Chambers to offer the Business Navigator Growth Hub service to members and non-members alike.
This new initiative helps businesses access grants, support and funding opportunities, supported through the Regional Growth Fund and managed by Coast to Capital and Brighton & Hove City Council.
Laura Evans, Brighton & Hove Chamber’s new Business Support Navigator, will be providing a free service to businesses in the area as a direct point of contact. This is done via the telephone or face to face. She will refer people on to the right local and national schemes supporting business growth and connect them with the appropriate business to business support groups and organisations.
Examples of the 150+ initiatives currently available:
Grants of between £5,000 & £250,000 for businesses to grow and increase employment
A new Business Start-up Hot House programme in the autumn - boot camps, business workshops, business coaching sessions and peer to peer mentoring sessions
A talented intern in the creative, digital, media, technology and green sectors -a six-week grant assisted programme to help reduce risks associated with taking on new talent
Laura will help local businesses save time, money and stress by locating the best potential opportunities for them. She said, “I'm really looking forward to helping business owners and managers in the Brighton & Hove area. Whatever stage of your business journey you may be at there’s plenty to investigate – and much of it is free to access.”
