Will taking money with you on a night out in Brighton become a thing of the past? A new app which allows clubbers to order and pay for their drinks direct from their mobile device without queuing at the bar might catch on.
The new X-press Drinks app is being pioneered by PRYZM in West Street. Customers at the club, operated by the UK’s largest nightclub operator the Luminar Group, are now able to order their drinks from their phone, pay for them with their PayPal account or a debit or credit card and have them delivered straight to their table or private booth.
David Joyce, general manager of PRYZM, said: “Queuing for drinks has always been the biggest bugbear for our customers and we’re thrilled to have a solution that makes it easier for people to get their favourite drinks delivered to their table without having to get up or pay with cash. It’s particularly popular with our female clubbers who don’t want to carry lots of money with them on a night out.”
X-press Drinks, which was highly commended in the Best Business Initiative category at the prestigious Publican Awards, is the UK’s first fully integrated app that deals with drinks ordering and manages promotions at the same time.
