An exciting new opportunity has been created to help shape the future economic prosperity of the Greater Brighton City Region. The Greater Brighton Investment Programme requires a Business Manager.
The manager will support partners from across the City Region to co-ordinate a programme of investment in regeneration, jobs, housing, transport infrastructure, the digital economy, business and skills
The Greater Brighton city region represents over 680,000 residents and plays a significant role in the economy of the south east and the United Kingdom as a whole. Over £90m of public funding has been allocated to Greater Brighton over the last six months for projects agreed with Government through the Greater Brighton City Deal and the Coast to Capital LEP's Growth Deal.
The business manager will play a key role in co-ordinating the delivery of the Investment Programme, supporting the Greater Brighton Officer Programme Board and the Greater Brighton Economic Board to deliver current projects, and negotiate new funding for the city region.
The Partnership is looking for an individual who can demonstrate strong programme and project management experience and excels at building cross-boundary partnerships through collaborative working. Knowledge of current economic development policy would be an advantage, as well as experience of developing positive relationships with Government.
You will support the new Greater Brighton Economic Board which brings together city region leaders, business partners and universities to unlock barriers to the economic prosperity of the area. You will work with partners of the board to help influence and shape future Government policy, boost the local economy, champion local regeneration schemes, and play a pivotal role in leading the Greater Brighton City Region to realise its potential as an economic powerhouse of the South East.
The contract is for a fixed term and the salary range for this full time post is £36,676 - £39,351.
