Shoreham Airport to be handed over to a new operator.
The current, struggling operator Albemarle will surrender the lease on the airport and Brighton City Airport Ltd (BCAL) will take over allowing Albemarle to avoid a £1m fine for failing to renovate the terminal building.
BCAL has effectively been running the airport since August last year and has committed to start improvement works on the terminal and a Grade II listed hangar within six months.
