In July the city council published a proposed Article 4 Direction to remove permitted development rights to change from office space to residential use in certain parts of the city. Following public consultation the council is proposing to reduce the extent of the area boundary before it comes into effect.
Changes to the Article 4 Direction resulting from consultation responses require re-consultation. A copy of the 2013 Direction and the proposed boundary amendment can be found on the council's website.
Representations concerning the proposed amendment to the Direction can be made between 27 March 2014 and 8 May 2014. These representations will be considered by the city council in deciding whether to confirm the direction.
