The most recent survey looking at the total number of vacant shops in the city centre has shown a slight increase in the number of empty units.
The survey, completed by Brilliant Brighton (the city's Business Improvement District), has shown a marginal increase in vacant units in the city centre as a whole which now stands at 5.42% (up from 5.10% in March).
The city’s Business Improvement District, a collective of 517 city centre shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, has also seen a small rise in empty units - up from 5.66% to 6.25%.
