The Executive Director of the Economic Partnership - Tony Mernagh – has been unanimoulsy elected as Chair of the Brighton & Hove Strategic Partnership [BHSP] to succeed Roger French OBE who will be retiring at the end of the month.
The Strategic Partnerships brings together, at a local level, the different parts of the public, private, community and voluntary sectors; allowing different initiatives and services to support one another so that they can work together more effectively.
The overall aim of the BHSP is to provide a single overarching strategic framework – the Community Strategy - within which other more specific thematic and area based (sub) partnerships can operate.
Incoming Chair Tony Mernagh said, “I am honoured to take over this position from Roger French who has been a consummate Chair for seven years and will be greatly missed from this and a range of other partnerships in the city”
“The great strength of the Strategic Partnership is its ability to bring together the different strands of the city’s machinery and offer an overview of the whole that is second to none.”
