Local organic retail and wholesale cooperative Infinity Foods is moving from its Norway Street warehouse to a new 6,500 sq metre premises in Dolphin Road in Shoreham.
The company has outgrown its current 3,800 sq metre facility in a residential area of Brighton which it has sold for £1.5m to house builder Taylor Wimpey. Complying with the emerging City Plan, an application for flexible employment space and 31 homes is expected to be submitted after a period of neighbourhood consultation.
The Shoreham site was previously occupied by Edwards BOC.
ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP COMMENT
Fortunatley the new Shoreham site is close enough to Brighton to offer the workforce continued employment and it is heartening to see a home grown company thriving to the point of expanding in these difficult economic times.
