With Christmas on the horizon, the Business Improvement District [BID] has been busy creating an even bigger and better lighting display for 2012. Also articles on chuggers, vacancy rates and details of free training all feature in the latest BID news.
On the 15th November, East Street will be the venue for the ChristmaslLights switch on for 2012. From 5pm, the main stage will be filled with family entertainment and great prize giveaways all hosted by the morning crew from Juice FM.
The BID newsletter also includes an update on the success of the on-street ambassador project, which has returned thousands of pounds worth of goods back to BID businesses as well as helping to provide intelligence for a significant number of arrests.
On top of this, the BID has been instrumental in dealing with Chuggers (Charity Fundraisers) in the city.
Also news for businesses on local schemes to attract shoppers and the hugely popular 'Dressed for Success' package is back, sponsored by the City Council.
