Arun District Council, West Sussex County Council and Horsham District Council are undertaking a study to examine the wider economic impacts of the Arundel bypass. If your business relies on the A27 through Arundel to connect you to suppliers and customers or if your staff commute on it, they would be interested in hearing from you.
The survey will help the councils to understand how the A27 at Arundel supports businesses in the region and how it will influence choices about what investments you will make and how many people you will employ from the local economy.
For the purposes of this survey, respondents are asked to consider the benefits of having an A27 Arundel bypass - a two way dual carriageway, from west of Arundel, to the South and rejoining the A27 East of Arundel at the junction with the A284 at Crossbush. There are not any more specific proposals at this stage.
Earlier studies have often overlooked the local economy impacts which are often cited as the key driver of the need for the scheme. The impacts we are keen to understand include potential jobs impacts (including jobs safeguarded), effects on visitor spending, changes in business to business activity, which are all potential spin-off impacts of the scheme.
The survey typically takes around ten minutes to complete. The closing date has now been extended until Sunday 7th October.
