The narrow streets of the Old Town [The Lanes] were not designed for the volume of traffic currently using them. The local authority would like to look at ways of reducing traffic while still allowing essential vehicle users to access the area.You can comment on the proposals by completing the consultation survey . The survey will be open until the beginning of July.

Two proposals have been put forward and until the end of June the council is seeking the views of residents, businesses and visitors.
