Dyn moves in
In Science, Dyn is a unit measuring the force required to accelerate a mass of one gram at a rate of one centimetre per second squared. In Brighton it’s an American internet services company which is the latest to locate in the city to join its burgeoning digital sector.
The company started in 1998 during the dot-com boom, and has evolved into a SaaS (software-as-a-service) support business specialising in email services but with a range of other IT services geared toward the home/small business market.
Dyn services over 14 million users. Its HQ is in Boston and it also has offices in Manchester. The company chose Brighton because of its cluster of digital businesses and creative buzz but great links to London and Gatwick also helped.
They have taken 220 sq metres of office space on the sixth floor of Aspect House by Brighton railway station in Queens Road and they employ 25 people in the city and a total of 150 worldwide.
