PortZED plans recommended for rejection
Boho Green’s application for a £1.3m highly sustainable residential development in Portslade are being recommended for rejection by planning officers.
The plans for six blocks of five storey zero-carbon flats in Basin Road North originally included 67 homes and controversial wind turbines to generate electricity inbetween each block. In response to criticism from residents the developer reduced the number of flats to 62 and abandoned the turbines but the officers consider that these, and other amendments, are so different from the original application that they effectively constitute a new application. The scheme is expected to be considered at Wednesday’s planning committee meeting.
