Economic Partnership responds positively to City Plan consultations
Most of the City Council’s preferred options in the four options papers get support from the Partnership but there are some caveats and considerable disappointment over the lack of detail about alternative strategies to park & ride which the Plan proposes to scrap altogether.
The broad protection of employment space and the development of Toads Hole Valley for housing [see earlier story]are welcomed by the Partnership and they suggest that the valley should also be allocated as a strategic site for employment use in addition to about 700 homes.
The proposals for establishing a hierarchy of industrial sites and the widening of the range of sites for 20,000 square metres of additional office space post 2016 are also applauded.
