At the inaugral meeting of the Partnership Council of the Association of Business Crime Partnerships, Brighton Business Crime Manager, Lisa Perretta, was elected Chair.
The Association of Business Crime Partnerships (ABCP) is an independent not-for-profit organisation working with Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRPs), police, local authorities and other agencies to help businesses reduce the impact and cost of crime against them, their staff and the communities they trade in.
The new Partnership Council consists of representatives from each of the regional and county partnership groups supported by ABCP. Lisa Perretta represents the Sussex Business Crime Group.
It aims to:
- Ensure that members' views are effectively represented
- Encourage partnerships to become ABCP members
- Promote the value and importance of ABCP as the national partnership organisation
- Add value to, and influence strategic decision making
ABCP's Partnership Council will meet quarterly at the House of Lords.
Lisa's role will be to help raise the profile of BCRPs nationally, but also represents a unique opportunity to raise the profile of the Brighton & Hove BCRP, which is the largest in the country.
