Fully funded Tourism Work Placements in Portugal
Creative Development (a leading business support organisation in the creative sector) is working with the Tourism Alliance to offer work placements in the Algarve to staff in the tourism sector in Brighton.
Diana Hudson, director, Creative Development, says, “We are offering three month work experience placements in sustainable tourism in the small town of Monchique, in the Algarve mountains in Portugal.
“These exciting opportunities will run from September to December and participants will work on the Eco and Adventure Tourism activities and learn about running a rural guesthouse, marketing this location and becoming involved in many aspects of how to build a sustainable holiday offer.”
Working in Portugal will also provide staff with the opportunity to develop language skills and broaden their understanding of Portuguese and local culture. They may also take up the offer of a qualification to support future career development in the tourism industry. This is suitable for people looking to improve their skills and understanding in this field and will add significant value to their CV.
Preparatory training prior to leaving the UK will include an introduction to the sustainable tourism sector and basic Portuguese language coaching. Participants will also be supported during their placement via an English-speaking mentor as well as having access to ongoing language tuition.
Accommodation will be provided along with travel costs to and from Portugal and insurance. In addition all participants will receive a weekly subsistence allowance of €85.00. To qualify candidates need to be in the labour market, in work or looking for work.
Please send a CV and a short paragraph explaining why this project is of interest to email@example.com or if you have any questions please send an email.
