Local internet jobs board www.brightonandhovejobs.com is to be the official sponsor of Brighton & Hove Albion FC just at the point where it ascends to the Championship and starts playing in the new Amex Stadium at Falmer.
At the beginning of the new season, the brightonandhovejobs.com logo will appear on the team’s shirts as well as featuring on signage around the new stadium and branding on the official match day programmes, tickets, website and other official merchandise.
The sponsorship marks a new phase in the company’s marketing strategy and builds on the success the site has enjoyed since launching less than a year ago in September 2010.
This sponsorship deal confirms brightonandhovejobs.com as a key contributor to the club and its charitable arm, Albion in the Community.
Chairman Tony Bloom said, “I am delighted we have yet another high-profile Brighton & Hove company on the shirt – and I thank Gary Peters and all at brightonandhovejobs.com for their support and sponsorship.
“They have already been key contributors to the club as huge supporters of Albion in the Community and assisting us in our staff recruitment as we gear up for the Amex – and we now look forward to working closely with them in the years to come.”
Also commenting on the deal, Gary Peters, founder of the local jobs board and a director of Albion in the Community and an active member of the city’s Economic Partnership said: “As a life-long Brighton fan and former trainee at the school of excellence, I am delighted to be working with the club, especially in these very exciting times.
“We are the only jobs board in the country to exclusively support and promote its local area and this is something we are very proud of. Entering into this partnership will give us access to a much wider audience which will considerably raise our awareness, both locally and regionally”.
