The national publicly funded Business Link network which includes Business Link South East, is now preparing for a phased closure by the end of November.
The organisation will maintain all current services up until the end of September and thereafter it will be a phased winding-down of the service as responsibilities are transferred to the national online resources at www.businesslink.gov.uk and the new national Contact Centre.
Plans for the closure of the regional service reflect the priorities of customers and partners across the region. This will see the withdrawal of face-to-face advisory service at the end of September and the closure of the regional start-up service and events programme at the end of October.
The regional Contact Centre will remain until the national provision is in place, which will be no later than the end of November;Business Link South East remains fully committed to supporting existing businesses and budding entrepreneurs through current services until the end of September and urges businesses to take advantage of the support while it is still available.
Existing support can be accessed by calling 0845 600 9 006 or visiting www.businesslink.gov.uk/southeast and includes:
- Intensive face-to-face advice and support for growth-ready companies, through the 'Growth Accelerator' offer.
- Universal access to information and advice for all SMEs in the South East through the Contact Centre, e-mail updates, newsletters and Business Link's website.
- The 'Starting a Business' service which includes tailored workshops to support people to start new enterprises.
