The Pebble Trust is to be a key sponsor for Fringe 2011. The Pebble Trust is a newly established charity based in Brighton and Hove which focuses on supporting local people and local causes.
In 2010 it donated money to charities including the Migrant English Project and Friends of Brunswick Square and has also launched the Pebble Trust Talent Awards, providing grants to local children to allow them to develop exceptional talents.
Heather James, Chair of the Fringe Board, said, “We’re very excited that The Pebble Trust is sponsoring us. The Trust is a great charity and a natural fit with the aims and objectives of the Fringe. The Fringe looks to encourage artistic life in Brighton and Hove, and the Pebble Trust enables talented local young people to fulfil their potential. This partnership will help promote the Trust in the city and encourage many more children to apply for the Awards.”
The Trust has been set up by Louise and James Arnell, who live in Hove. Louise said, “As a local charity, we are delighted to be sponsoring the Brighton Festival Fringe. This event provides a fantastic platform for up-and-coming talent and is a real asset to our city.”
