The City Council is asking for feedback on proposed changes to the local planning application requirements which were put in place in 2008.
These requirements say what information must be given with a planning application so that it can be registered for a decision to be made. There are checklists for different types of development and planning applications. The checklists say what information is needed and why.
Once the consultation closes a report of all the comments received will be considered by cabinet.
The council is only proposing changes to the Full Planning Checklist. They are as follows:
- Air Quality – A new air quality checklist will be required for four development types.
- Noise Impact – A new noise impact checklist will be required for five development types.
- Sustainability – The sustainability checklist will be required for three more types of development.
- Transport Assessment – There are two more development types where a transport assessment may be required
