The Central Hove Local Action Team are holding a meeting to invite feedback and opinion from all sectors of the local community, in order to identify the current concerns and develop a new action plan as a focus for the various agencies and organisations involved.
The aims of a Local Action Team (LAT) are to improve the lives of those who live or work in, or visit the city, and this is facilitated by reducing anti-social behaviour and crime, tackling the underlying cause of offending, taking early action to prevent crime, and achieve visible justice, including work through the Community Payback scheme.
The meeting will be held in St Andrews Church Hall on Monday September 27th at 7pm, and will be chaired by Cllr Averil Older. There will be representation from various council departments including: Drug & Alcohol Action Team, Environment Improvements, Animal Welfare and the Seafront Office. Other participants are Sussex Police, CRI Rough Sleepers and Street Services, CityClean and Hove’s Town Centre Manager.
Streets within the Central Hove LAT are bordered by Hove Street/Sackville Road, Clarendon Villas, Eaton Road, Wilbury Road, First Avenue and the seafront between First Avenue and Hove Street. It covers all of the Central Hove ward.
