Hove has become well known over recent years for its calendar of popular outdoor market events held on Hove Lawns, and is home to the increasingly popular World Food Market which will be returning to delight food lovers from around Sussex on Saturday and Sunday 25 and 26 September 2010.
Last year’s market was a great success providing showcasing opportunities for local producers and restaurateurs, and bringing food loving visitors flooding into the city. A range of international snacks, meals, beers and cocktails were on offer ranging from Caribbean Goat Curry to Champagne and Oysters and a myriad of tasty titbits in between!
The Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival is now in its 7th year, and the Brighton and Hove Business Forum are pleased to bring the international market back to Hove again this September as it is now one of the most established events in the Festival’s calendar.
The Food and Drink Festival started early this year, with a March ‘Spring Harvest’ and other key events running throughout September and into the first week of October include the Food Trail on Saturday 4 Sept, two Champagne mini festivals, and a Mexican day in Jubilee Square in addition to the popular Big Sussex Market in New Road, and Farmers Market at Churchill Square. The World Food Market is organised by the Brighton and Hove Business Forum and will be taking place on Hove Lawns by the Peace Statue from 10am to 5.30 pm on Saturday 25th, and 11am to 5.30pm on Sunday 26th September. Stallholders wishing to take part in this event should contact Hove Town Centre Manager, Maddy Carr, on 01273 735442 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
