The City Council is updating its Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) and has issued a 'Call for Sites' to help identify available land.
The study will provide important information that will help inform the council’s planning documents (the ‘Local Development Framework’ ).
The aim of the SHLAA is to identify sites that could be used for housing development, assess their potential and estimate when they are likely to be developed.
A sites pro-forma should be completed to suggest any site or sites, capable of accommodating 6+ residential units, that you think should be considered by the study. This could be as a solely residential development or as part of a mixed use scheme. For a copy of the pro-forma please click on the link below.
Use a separate form for each site and complete the form to the best of your knowledge. Completed forms should be returned to either of the following addresses by 21st September 2010:
By email to: email@example.com
or by post to:
SHLAA Study. LDF Team. Brighton & Hove City Council. Room 407-410 Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove BN3 3BQ
If you have any queries regarding the SHLAA please telephone: 01273 292 505
Please note that the information regarding sites submitted as part of the SHLAA will be within the public domain. Although the SHLAA is an important study to inform plan-making, it does not, in itself, determine whether a site should be allocated for housing development.
