Gala Bingo appeal date

The owners of the Gala Bingo site in Portland road that has been refused planning permission for redevelopment five times in the past six years are taking the last refusal to Appeal.

Downland Housing Trust were refused consent in April [see earlier story] to demolish the building, which has been empty for seven years, and create 35 homes and a GP surgery. A date of 7th September has been set for the Planning Inspectorate to hear the Appeal.
