Brighton & Hove City Council is consulting on their draft statement of Licensing Policy which will determine the framework for future licensing applications and the direction of licensing strategy including cumulative impact, alcohol disorder zones and wider public safety implications.
The policy reflects national legislation and guidance and demonstrates how responsible authorities will operate at a local level. The current policy expires at the end of this year and its replacement needs to take into account any changes that are necessary. These changes may be led by governmental decisions or by lessons learned locally in Brighton & Hove.
The Council would like local stakeholders, residents and members of the public as well as statutory consultees and "responsible authorities" to have their say about the proposed policy.
Your views will help to inform the revised policy. The consultation lasts for 12 weeks closing on Friday 29 August 2010 and responses should be sent to Licensing. Brighton & Hove City Council, Bartholomew House. Brighton BN1 1JP or firstname.lastname@example.org
