Government funded support in England has changed. From 1 April 2010 WRAP is the single point of contact for businesses and organisations looking for support and guidance to improve their resource efficiency.
WRAP is a single point of contact for businesses, local authorities and consumers, providing a single source of expertise for material resource efficiency guidance and support.
This follows Defra’s decision to ask WRAP to lead on the development of a single body in this area of work last year. These changes will make it simpler, quicker and easier for people to get what they need, whilst offering better value to the taxpayer through the avoidance of duplication.
Previously government funded support was provided by: WRAP, National Industrial Symbiosis Programme, Envirowise, Construction Resources and Waste Platform, Centre for Remanufacturing and Reuse, Business Resource Efficiency and Waste Centre and Action Sustainability.
Dr Liz Goodwin, CEO, WRAP said: "We are excited about the new opportunities that these changes present. It will provide a streamlined service for those we work with, delivering financial and environmental benefits to businesses and consumers in a way which delivers value for money for the taxpayer."
You will also be able to access advice and support through the WRAP resource efficiency helpline on 0808 100 2040.
