Mansfield Market

Mansfield BID gets a 'Yes' vote

The ballot to establish a Business Improvement District (BID) in Mansfield has been successful. The result was 55.4% in favour by number of businesses and 65.5% in favour by rateable value, with the turnout at 44%

The BID company will commence formal operation on the 5th April 2010 with the first additional services due to commence from the 1st June.

The BID will focus particularly on the deployment of town centre ambassadors to raise the standard of cleanliness and security in town, improve the profile for a diverse and attractive range of local specialist shops, a higher profile for one of the biggest open-air markets in the country and a campaign to attract new investment back into the relatively few prime empty units on the High Street in Mansfield.
