Dawn is responsible for leading the Business and Professional Development courses in BCATS and, for the next three years, part of her role is being funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England to co-ordinate the work of the HE Centre for Work and Learning. Dawn has previously worked as the training and development manager for City & Guilds, an HRD manager for American Express and more recently for West Sussex County Council and the International HIV Aids Alliance.

City College is part of a consortium of FE colleges and Universities across Sussex who are partnering to deliver employer responsive training in a £1.7m three year project. Dawn is working closely with the College's HE Centre as well as the City Business Skills team to support and develop their employer-facing activity. Her focus is to investigate, encourage and respond to the demand of local business and employers for management and professional development.
