Footfall figures from w/c 25 January 2010, show the count rise over 1.7% from the previous week to a total of 191,036. However, the data is still sitting at minus 34.2% on the same week in 2009.
The cumulative weekly total (the average footfall thus far for 2010 compared to the same period in 2009) fell by 2% to minus 35.3%, although the national average saw gains of 2.8%.
In Brighton, a weekly high of 39,300 was recorded on Saturday 16th January with a high of 4,998 between 4pm and 5pm on that day.
