Metropole Hotel objects to Brighton O attraction

The Hilton Metropole Hotel has lodged an objection to the application for a giant spokeless ferris wheel on the seafront in front of the Brighton Sailing Club.

The owners of the 60m high construction - Paramount Attractions - are seeking planning permission for the wheel to be located on the seafront for a two year period (see earlier story).

There is general support for the project with 40 businesses hoping it will increase trade but the Sailing Club and the Hotel are concerned that it will interfere with their business operations.
