The Business Forum's Business Crime Reduction Partnership and Sussex Police took part in The Really Useful Business Show at the Brighton Centre on 13 October, to raise awareness of the effects of business crime, and to help businesses put safety measures in place for their premises to help reduce the occurrence of future business crime.
Business Crime Manager Lisa Perretta joined officers from the Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit and a Community Safety Officer from Sussex Police at the show which was hosted by Fred Dinenage, co-anchor of “Meridian Tonight”.
Businesses attending the show were able to pick up free training DVD’s and other material designed to teach staff how to identify counterfeit bank notes, leaflets on preventing identity fraud and free lanyards to attach purses to handbags to prevent “dipping” or pick-pocketing.
The Business Crime Reduction Partnership is actively working to promote its crime prevention initiatives to local business, and to strengthen its multi-agency partnership work with Sussex Police.
For further information about membership of the BCRP or to apply for any of the leaflets or DVD’s mentioned in this article, please call the administration office on: 01273 733393 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
