A LEADER seminar concentrating on how others have encouraged and benefited from cultural diversity. It will look at the current position and the legal implications from recently introduced legislation. Each attendee will receive a CPD certificate on completion.
LEADER stands for Local Employers Acting on Diversity, Equality and Race.
Local employers and organisations have come together to help ensure equality exists in the workplace. Their aim is to assist employers to adopt best practice in their recruitment and employment policies and implementation.
Preparation for the workshop includes bringing information on:
- How many people as a proportion of your workforce you currently employ that qualify as culturally diverse.
- How you support integration and profit from their involvement.
- What you’d like to achieve from attending this workshop
- There will be an opportunity to discuss any relevant scenarios or problems in an open discussion environment.
Wednesday 7th October 2009, 3.15 p.m. – 5.30 p.m. at CETL Room, University of Brighton, Grand Parade.
This Seminar is FREE to attendees from existing LEADER members or there is a small charge of £15 per attendee for others.
