City College Brighton and Hove has joined forces with the Sussex College of Golf to offer an Advanced Apprenticeship in Golf.
The full-time course is designed for golf players with single figure handicaps who are interested in a career in golf, whether playing or teaching, with all of the delivery based at Lindfield Golf Club, a parkland course on the Sussex Weald near Haywards Heath.
All the integrated elements of the course are designed around the golf industry and will enable students to progress into that field of employment.
Phil Frier, Principal of City College Brighton and Hove, says: "City College is delighted to be working with Sussex College of Golf. We think it’s really important for the young golfers at the College to have a high quality general education which will back up the developments of their technical skills on the course. Sussex College of Golf has an excellent reputation for developing students not just for a career on the Golf Circuit but also in preparation for business and a wide variety of social situations. City College is pleased to be able to contribute to the vocational qualifications of these gifted golfers of the future."
Paul Lyons, Managing Director of Sussex College of Golf, says: “Sussex College of Golf is extremely excited about working with City College. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional tuition and coaching to our students and our new relationship with City College will allow us to continue our work with these talented young golfers.”
