Free HR course for city businesses

Tourism Futures at City College is running its hugely successful HR courses again this September for anyone who owns or runs a small business.

Covering the basics of Employment law and how to restructure your business, you’ll get all the information you need to stay legal and help add valuable pounds to your bottom line.

Nathalie Gomez de Vera from Brighton Visitor/Sharp Media Ltd said "The one day introductory course in HR was stimulating and informative. Both tutors were excellent and being in a small group meant any questions were answered in depth. I came away with a better understanding of the minefield that HR can be and plan to take up the follow on course. Thanks guys!"

If you are interested in brushing up your HR knowledge or need to learn the basics, book yourself on these fantastic one day courses. The courses are FREE to members of the Tourism Forum, this is free to join and has many benefits. Any business working in the Retail, Tourism or Hospitality sectors in Brighton & Hove are welcome to join. Alternatively the cost to attend is £95 per person per day.

29 September Part 1 - HR - How to stay within the Law and effectively recruit and retain your staff: This one day workshop is specifically designed to give business owners and team managers the knowledge, skill and confidence to operate effectively within existing employee legislation and to be clear on effective recruitment and retention processes. Its purpose is to offer commercial practical advice that is targeted at improving financial performance both in terms of revenue and profit.

30 September Part 2 - HR - Restructuring and Organisation, turn your vision into reality & get the best from your team. This is a one day development workshop specifically designed to provide business owners and team managers with the skill and knowledge to effect structural change, to make those difficult decisions operating within existing employee legislation, and to effectively manage their teams. Its purpose is to offer commercial practical advice that is targeted at improving financial performance both in terms of revenue and profit.
