City in Bloom and VisitBrighton are urging local businesses to enter for the City in Bloom awards - and with just under two weeks before the closing date, it is now time to make your nominations!
To qualify for the competition your business needs to fall into one of the following categories:
- Best Blooming Pub
- Best Guest House
- Best Hotel
- Best Self Catering
- Best Shop
- Best Restaurant
You must also show that you have made that special effort to provide either permanent or seasonal displays that are visible from the street.
Nominations can be made via the Visitor Information Centre or online at the City in Bloom pages on the council and VisitBrighton website http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.cfm?request=c1000995 or http://www.visitbrighton. com/site/tourist-information/news/2009/6/1/city-in-bloom-2009-a97.
You may prefer to print off the attached nomination form and ask your customers to complete it. Please return it to: City In Bloom, Brighton & Hove City Council, Hollingdean Depot, Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton BN1 7GA.
The closing date for nominations is 30 June 2009.
The overall winner will be announced in September on www.visitbrighton.com and the category winners will be invited to the City in Bloom prize giving.
