Based in Hove, The Werks is a shared office and workspace with a difference. They don’t just offer a place in which to work – they also offer people to work with.
The Werks is designed to meet the needs of freelancers, small businesses, arty types and anyone who has a need for a desk or office space in a creative, cooperative environment.
At the same time, The Werks are busy building a professional creative and collaborative community, and is teaming up with designers, writers, programmers, artists, geeks and other people who appreciate the benefits of working with others. Many of their Werkers are former "work-at-homers", who now enjoy having a dedicated co-working space to work in.
Werkshop run workspaces within Brighton, Hove and Lewes, and as part of their ongoing aim to support individuals, freelancers and small businesses they host a variety of events.
The Hove Tuttle is every Friday at West Werks (see www.twitter.com/hovetuttle) and the Lewes Tuttle is every Friday at Lewes Werks (www.twitter.com/lewestuttle).
