Planning for Properous Economies
Last year the government consulted on Planning Policy Statement 4 which was intended to encourage local authorities to plan effectively and pro-actively for economic growth. Now its back to the drawing board as they decide to consult of the amalgamation of all national planning policies on economic development into one single consolidated and streamlined Planning Policy Statement
The new PPS4 amalgamates PPS5 on planning zones, PPS6 on town centres and PPS7 on sustainable development in rural areas. The closing date is the 28th July 2009. Click below for full details.
