The World Corporate Games in June will bring employees from a host of national and global organisations and institutions to the city, which could inject between £2.5 and £3m into the local economy.
The Games, to be held between 4th and 7th of June, will include individual and team sports, social events, a grand parade and a business tourism day and they present the perfect opportunity to showcase the city for inward investment at the same time attracting media interest.
The Games are open to individual and team sports, regardless of age or ability and they are also fully disabled integrated.
The organisers are also be working with the TakePart Festival, School Sports Festival and the City Council’s 2012 coordinator. Given the current economic climate and trading conditions, securing this event in the City is a tremendously positive outcome for the hospitality sector including hotels, restaurants and retail.
