The Ilford BID has achieved a 'yes' vote with a 67% straight majority, representing 64% of rateable value. The turnout was 36%.
This makes Ilford the 90th BID in the country and the 20th in London. All BIDs in the capital have so far been successful. So pressure will increase on future BIDs to maintain this 100% BID ballot success rate.
The Ilford BID covers the heart of Ilford town centre including the main retail and leisure areas and the Mall shopping centre.
The BID focuses on the three key project areas of safety, ambience; and promotion.
