Falmouth BID has achieved a yes vote with a 70% straight majority, representing 67% of rateable value. The turnout was also good at 54%.
The BID has four key project areas: marketing and promotion for Falmouth; events and festivals; improvements to signage; and providing a voice for local businesses.
Falmouth is West Cornwall’s leading south coast resort and boasts the world’s third largest natural harbour. It includes a wider variety of business interests to include retail, accommodation, catering, docks/ship-building, education and leisure related attractions. Within the BID boundary, there is also an award winning beach, stunning harbour, national maritime museum and castle.
