Newhaven harbour set back

Oakdene Homes, the developer building 600 homes in Newhaven which were expected to play an important part in the regeneration of the East Sussex port situated less than 10 miles from Brighton, has gone into administration.

This is another set back for the Newhaven after the ferry operator LD Lines announced that it may not be able to continue its Newhaven to Dieppe service unless alternative subsidy could be identified (see earlier story)
