Latest weekly footfall figures for Brighton city centre

Footfall figures from w/c 22nd December 2008, available to download here for free, show the count down 15.1% from the previous week to a total of 310,530 but over 9% up on the same week in 2007 against a national benchmark showing an 11% decline.

The Boxing day count of 3,680 goes some way to explain this dramatic fall; but arguably, given the credit crunch, the biggest surprise is a massive rise of 9.5% against the same week in 2007.

The pdf document is 104kb and gives access to hourly distributions, including a breakdown of the totals for the days of the week and annual performance comparisons dating back to 2006.
