Brighton & Hove City Council has drafted a new Environmental Health Enforcement Policy to be considered at the Environment Cabinet Member Meeting in March 2009.
The Council now seeks to consult with businesses and residents prior to the Cabinet meeting in March 2009.
The Environmental Health team has had a policy in place since the early 1990's and pride themselves in fair and consistent enforcement. The purpose of the policy is to ensure that Environmental Health legislation concerning Animal Welfare, Food Safety, Health & Safety, Noise Control and Pollution Control complies with recent changes in Government guidance and the new corporate priorities.
