City College pioneers courses for Brighton’s tourism and retail sectors
The SOLD project at City College is launching a series of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for staff working in the tourism or retail sector of the City.
The SOLD project will be sponsoring the course making the cost just £40 for a 12 week course of two 3 hour sessions. The course will finish with an exam giving the learner the opportunity to gain a Skills for Life qualification.
Lisa Dray from Barcelo Brighton Old Ship Hotel said “I had many employees attend the ESOL course which was provided by City College Brighton. The course was a flexible learning course which enabled us to get employees to attend outside their working hours. The hours always fitted in well with our employees working patterns and the course duration was great and 3 hourse for a session was just enough for them to take in after working a shift”.
This is a great opportunity for businesses in the Tourism or Retail sector to give their staff some low cost high quality training which will boost their skills and help the businesses they work for. If you or your staff are working in the Tourism or Retail sector and are interested in attending this course, give City College a call on 01273 667756 to find our more information. There are limited places available and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
